Field of Broken Dreams, Pyrénées, France

In the fall of 2013, I hiked the mountain tops of the French Pyrénées, as a photographer for "Field of Broken Dreams", a feature-length film by French director Guillaume Landron.

The project finds itself at the intersection between fiction film and contemporary art; this medium format photography series was conceived as a narrative tool in the film script, the photographer being at times subject of the movie camera and independent of the narration, shooting the landscape, from within the film frame, while being filmed.

The photographer, has thus become fictionalized, a character completely emerged in the film script, one that mirrors and echoes silently the landscape she photographs.
